Rosenberg and Patricia Damiri, interior designers with the firm of Mitchell Associates in Wilmington, DE, recently passed the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID) Examination and earned the prestigious AAHID Certificate. They are the first two professionals to earn this accreditation in the State of Delaware. Passage of the Examination and earning the AAHID credential signifies that Rosenberg and Damiri have met the standards for education, experience and examination and are board certified healthcare interior designers. A minimum of five years of healthcare interior design experience, a portfolio review and professional references are required before being eligible to take the comprehensive examination. The AAHID examination is a rigorous exam requiring examinees to demonstrate competence in variety of aspects that affect the healthcare interior environment. The examination covers acute care, ambulatory care/outpatient, long term care/senior living, medical facilities/other, retail/hospitality, support services, allied professions, codes & guidelines, environmental, evidence based design and professional business practice. from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts
Degree and has worked in the interior design field for 45 years. In
his current position with Mitchell, Rosenberg is responsible as a
Principal-in-Charge of numerous healthcare projects, both locally
and nationally. Damiri graduated from the Art Institute of Philadelphia
with an Associates Degree in Interior Design and has worked in the
interior design field for 28 years. In her current position as Associate
Principal with Mitchell, Damiri is responsible for having designed
many replacement facilities throughout the country. Mitchell Associates
is a multi-disciplined consulting firm established in 1965, based
