Mitchell Associates Chosen to Design Interior and Exterior Signage and Wayfinding for New Replacement Hospital

Wilmington, Delaware - WILMINGTON, DE - Mitchell Associates of Wilmington, Delaware, announces that they have been awarded Environmental Graphic Design services for Parkland's new replacement hospital, currently one of the largest healthcare building projects in the country. In conjunction with focusEGD of Dallas, Texas, Mitchell Associates will provide a comprehensive wayfinding and sign graphic design system for its new 1.9 million square foot replacement facility plus associated campus environs. Mitchell Associates' scope of design services includes wayfinding planning, signage design, architectural brand elements, electronic wayfinding media, print guides and staff training materials.
Acknowledging that wayfinding is universally experiential and that it begins at home, the approach is to build on a "home-to-health" concept that addresses all aspects of the human wayfinding process. It will assist patients, visitors, medical staff and administrators to navigate to, and to assist others in navigating through, the spaces to medical service delivery points, amenities and back to where they parked their car. Working with the comprehensive team of owner representatives, architects, interior designers, landscape designers and others, the goal is to produce a fully integrated intuitive wayfinding system that the greater Parkland community members are comfortably, intuitively accessing.
