Upper Chesapeakee Medical Center Cancer Facility

Mitchell Associates attends the construction kickoff for a 25,000 square foot new comprehensive Cancer Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Mitchell has been engaged to design the interior architectural finishes including furniture and artwork for the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center's comprehensive care center. Patricia Damiri, Associate Principal on the project, states, "The center will be designed as an upscale hospitality-oriented oasis complete with retail boutique, healing garden and alternative medicine, incorporating state-of-the-art care." Completion is expected Fall of 2013. Design themes are centered around the natural elements found in a garden: color, texture, sound, pathways and shapes. Mitchell has also designed UCMC's replacement hospital and ambulatory care facility interiors completed in 2000 as well as the recent expansion to their replacement hospital completed in 2008.
