Mitchell Associates is a design-focused organization with its roots in interior architecture and graphic design services for healthcare, corporate and educational facilities. Founded in 1965, the firm has gained a reputation for excellence in creative problem solving with designs that have earned us national recognition. We currently provide consultant design services in architecture, interior design, space planning, wayfinding, signage, graphic design, donor recognition and interpretive displays. Our talented staff includes architects, interior designers, graphic and industrial designers. To complement our donor recognition design services, we created an in-house team of specialty fabricators and installers more than 30 years ago to manufacture custom exhibits, displays and plaques.

Once engaged with a project we work diligently to explore viable design options and cost controls through accurate budgeting and design development of samples and prototypes to avoid costly value engineering during construction and installation phases.

We operate on a traditional architectural design studio model, with principal/owner project oversight, and individuals specializing in project management, programming and planning, conceptual design, design development, contract documentation, technical services, and construction phase administration. Our workflow typically follows the same design phases established for other project team consultants.
Mitchell Associates is headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. Our 15,000 square foot studio/office building includes an extensive material resource library, four conference rooms, and multiple team workstations that contain the latest technology to support our design services. Nearby, we have a 5,000 square foot specialty fabrication facility that is equipped to produce all of our donor recognition and display designs.
